Does Cornell do interest tracking for transfers or is that more of a freshman admissions thing? Would attending Transfer Day help?

Hi Q- my d is junior in ILR. I have said it before, I think it is extremely important to go to Cornell and meet with the ILR admission staff. This can be done through the admission tour of ILR. (not general Cornell U tour). It is a small school and when my d took the tour only 2 other kids were on the tour. This allowed alot of personal time with the Admissions counselor. Again- that was 3 years ago, it is possible that ILR students now give the tour but back then, it was the admissions counselors who gave the tours. I think it is important to meet with Admission staff either through transfer day- or to e-mail admissions and tell them you can meet with them on another date and try to set something up with them. You should also check with Admissions to see if they will even look at the new SAT score. Once you are out of HS, I really do not know if the admissions office will consider the new SAT score. It's easy to get to Cornell from NYC- you can take Shortline/Coach bus out of Port Authority and it goes directly to campus. Maybe you can also plan an overnight through the Red Carpet Society. The more interest you show in ILR, the better shot you have. Good luck
