How do people carry their stuff to the community bathrooms? (towels, shampoo, all that stuff)

What to people put their laundry in? Bags or baskets?

How often do people do their laundry and how busy is it?

Where do you keep your clothes? Is there a dresser provided?

Should I only bring summer/fall clothes and then get winter clothes later? I only live an hour away.

I have to change my schedule on the 29th due to 6 AP scores that I didn't have at my AOP. How bad will it be to go a week without books?

Okay I think that's it. Thanks for all of your help!!

Usually people just take their clothes and shampoo and stuff in their hands…I would wrap my stuff around a towel, or sometimes if I was feeling lazy I’d just wrap the towel around me and hold my shampoo/body wash in my other hand, then make a return trip for my comb and stuff.

People usually use hampers. I’d suggest getting one, they’re light and efficient.

Depends on the person but I’d say people typically do laundry once a week. If you live close to home then you might consider just stockpiling your laundry and taking it all home one weekend. It gets busier on the weekends, especially Sunday nights. But you’d be surprised at how many people aren’t out partying on weekend nights, lol.

To my knowledge, all the dorms on campus have a dresser of some sort.

If you only live an hour away then yeah, just bring some summer wear and definitely a jacket or hoodie or something, it gets cold fairly quickly. It does start snowing around beginning of December, so you don’t need to bring any thick stuff yet.

Shouldn’t matter for most classes. If you’re taking a class like Calculus or Physics then a book might be good since that material tends to need time to sink in for a lot of people, but on the first week, they’ll probably go through like one chapter, so it’s not a big deal.

I’m assuming you’re a freshman - congrats on making it to State :]

1) I bought a cheap shower caddy.
2) Laundry bags are the most portable - you can get them free at sparticipation/some of the various welcome events on campus (or at the store for cheap)
3) I do my laundry every 2-3 weeks…I have a LOT of clothes lol. The laundry rooms are busiest at night (or during weekend days).
4) All dorms have dressers, some/most dorms have closets. You have to bring your own hangers, of course
5) I’d bring all your clothes that you need. It’s really up to you…
6) You don’t generally want to buy books the first week, because profs change book requirements and they aren’t always listed correctly at bookstores (and you might find them cheaper if you spend time shopping around ie. buying them online).
