Questions from a future freshman

Hello all,

First of all, congrats to everybody who got in!
I am an international student from Belgium and I am very unfamiliar with the US system so I have a few questions for my upcoming year in Michigan. (And by the way, English is not my first language so sorry if I make some grammar mistakes).

I am going to study Aerospace engineering and I heard that engineering classes are in the north campus. How far is it from the central campus? Can I walk there or do I have to take the bus?

Also for housing, I am looking for something near all the social stuff happen. I like hanging out, partying,... And I would like to take part to the Greek life.
Any advice for that?

And for the fraternities, I heared you need letters of recommendation but I literally know nobody in Michigan as I am living in Belgium, will that be an issue?

That's all for know, I am sure I will have plenty of other questions later!

Thanks for your help.

For any engineering questions there is a running threads for that

You’ll take a bus to North. Its about 10 minutes

you dont need letters of rec lol
