Questions from a RD Applicant about BioEngineering

I have (as the title says) questions about Cornell.

  1. Is there any difference between the Biological Engineering major in the CALS and Engineering? It says they are both ABET accredited, so both take the same exact courses but under different schools, right?

  2. If they are different from question 1, how different are the Biological Engineering major students in CALS treated vs the Biological Engineering major students in Engineering? Are the engineering students given more priority over classes/given more advice?

  3. If they are the same from question 1, is it relatively easy to transfer from CALS to Engineering since they both have the same courses taken with the only difference being the school? Currently, I am unsure if I were to go to CALS or engineering if I were to take another major in either school.

  4. Is it impossible to dual degree with Engineering if you are in the CALS? It seems that this option was only given to select schools like Arts and Science. I tried to find more details but was confused.

Thanks for your help!
