Questions from an Oblivious Person

Pay special attention to RL: second highest SATs in the nation, very involved faculty, phenomenal intellectual atmosphere, really unique classics program...just a great school.

Oh, and though this should not be his primary goal: if your brother is quite adamant on following your footsteps to the Yard, RL has the Dean of Harvard on its Board of Trustees and was 1st in the nation in sending kids to HYP.

Good luck!

I love Newbury Street! I love walking straight down Massachusetts Avenue on a good day and walking along Newbury Street.

I know that we should pay attention to Roxbury Latin (my admissions officer and the regional officer, David Evans, was buzzing about how wonderful the education was there), but chances are, my brother won't be accepted, though we'll sure damn try to help and my brother absolutely fell in love with the school when surfing its website.

Thanks for the best wishes!

Gods Favorite, a minor correction to your facts about RL. Harry Roy Lewis, while still a professor at Harvard and on the RL Board, is no longer the Dean of Harvard College. Matriculation at Harvard was still good (18% of class of 2006). By the way, which school is #1 in SAT? RL class of 2006 average was 740 V and 740 M.

TJHSST.

Interesting about the Dean situation. I was getting my facts from the 02 Worth Article on HYP placement so I thank you for the update.

I thought Harker school in San Jose Ca. had the highest SAT scores? Maybe the west coast doesn't count.lol I also maybe incorrect .

I'm actually curious as to what was the top school in 06, since I fear the prepreview site hasn't been updated in awhile (the SAT rankings haven't changed in about a year), but it was the only comprehensive listing of high school SAT averages I could find. If anyone can get me a link with updated stats I would be happy to change my assertion.

Just a note (I was looking to see if anyone was chatting about BUA). BUA does not make money for BU. The finances are complex, but basically, BU supports itself, with some support from BU in terms of physical plant.
