Questions..I got deferred to UM.

I recently heard back from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and was deferred from the Early Action application. This school is one of my top choices (#2/3). So if anyone could please answer these question I would be very thankful:

Does anyone know if it would be good or bad if I wrote a letter to the office of admissions expressing my interest in the school and how I still really want to get in?
Also I left out some things on my application so could/should I add these to the letter I send them?
Approximately what percent of those deferred from Early Action get admitted in Regular Decision?

Thanks for the help.

It won’t hurt to let the office know that you’re still interested.

Do a lot of people get deferred? Or do I actually have a realistic chance of getting in?

The NY Times had a column last year titled with advice from among others the Dean of Admissions at Duke. You ought to read thru the article, which is at [You Got Deferred. Now What?](You Got Deferred. Now What? - The New York Times)
