I am highly considering going to UCSD : Thurgood Marshall. I know a lot about the education and academics. But, I need to know some other things in general. Could people please answer? Anybody can answer, and any question can be left our. Just answer! Thanks!

Should I need a car?

How are the girls there (attractiveness)?

How are the guys there?

How much money would I need a month there (including if I need a car or not)?

Are the dorms nice there (describe it)?

What do you do on weekends?

How are the parties?

How is the nightlife?

How is the scheduling of classes?

How is the campus/city area?

How far is it from the city?

Not really. Parking costs ~$250/quarter.

Not at UCSD but girls in SD are.

same as above

no idea

skip

skip

Not really good at school, but at SDSU, downtown SD, and TJ

same as above

no idea

Very nice.

i think 11 miles from downtown san diego.

Hope this helps, all of the above came from what I've seen from videos or heard from my friend that's attending.

Should I need a car? not really but makes it easier

How are the girls there (attractiveness)? n/a, opinions vary...but remember the triton eye

How are the guys there? i'd say triton eye as well.

How much money would I need a month there (including if I need a car or not)? well, 200/month for car...maybe 50-200 a month for everything else depending on how much you go out, whether or not you live off-campus, etc.

Are the dorms nice there (describe it)? for marshall, i'd say they're ok.

What do you do on weekends? study. go to work. maybe sleep in a little. maybe go out for a dinner.

How are the parties? i've only gone to quiet, between-friends parties. so i can't say.

How is the nightlife? dead after 4pm on-campus unless you like club meetings, clubbing on the weekends, etc.

How is the scheduling of classes? sucks if you don't have enough units.

How is the campus/city area? upper middle class suburban lifestyle = nothing incredibly interesting in the surrounding area, except the mall (UTC) and the beach

How far is it from the city? 10-15 miles to downtown SD, 3 miles to the actual downtown LJ

Should I need a car?
No.

How are the girls there (attractiveness)?
Probably better looking than you.

How are the guys there?
Again, probably better looking than you.

How much money would I need a month there (including if I need a car or not)?
$0. A meal plan is included with your housing package.

Are the dorms nice there (describe it)?
They suffice. I have no complaints. It depends which college you live in.

How are the parties?
Poor.

How is the nightlife?
Dark.

Thanks for people who've posted answers to some of the questions. It adds to my knowledge of UCSD. It's great to hear this stuff about lifestyle there so I can more easily make a decision. THanks guys. I'd appreciate more!

hahah plethora of hot chicks. thank you for the information guys. so i guess this triton eye thing seems to be true.. it seems to be the consensus that most people are not gd looking.

if everyone there is ugly you should be happy, because then you'll automatically stand out as one of the beautiful people even if you're just fairly good looking

i thought some of your questions were a little shallow. if you asked them in jest, then whatever, but i thought you actually meant it.

here's a thought: go to UCSD, pick out a random student, ask the same questions, and provide the same comments you did in this post. i don't think people will be very impressed. :/
