Questions on Bio II

When you're taking the BIO II SAT, can you take both ecology and molecular on the same day? Or do they need time to mix up the questions on the overlapping part? How harsh are the curves? Is a prep book really necessary? For colleges that require 3 subject tests, do E and M count separately?

Also...would it be okay to take this as a soph before taking AP Bio? I took an honors course freshman year; now I've got a text and am "self-studying," if you will, though the intention was to use the knowledge to get myself a lab grunt job this summer, rather than to test early, though I think it might turn out all right...

You cannot take ecology and molecular on the same day.

The curves are pretty lenient, not as much as others, but yeah, somewhat. You can miss around 3 or 4 and get an 800.

I think a prep book is a lot of help, specially because there are a lot of contents, so, even if your Biology knowledge is advanced, you can use it as a guide.

Yes. They are counted differently.

Can you choose to take either ecology or molecular?

Yeah. That's exactly the point; you choose the one you feel most comfortable with.

You can miss 2 and get an 800

i got a 780 and i took the molecular biology... i hear ecology is much harder.

You can't get 3-4 wrong; only 1-2, depending on the administration.

well...thats what i got dumbass...so i dont care.

It depends on the test. The curve varies. I think the october test you could've missed 5 and still have gotten 800.
