Questions on International AP Awards

Is the "International AP Scholar" only granted to TWO international students in total? That's insane considering that's the entire world outside of North America. Does anyone know how many APs the last person to receive this award took?

At the same time, there's this "AP International Diploma" presented to international students but doesn't have a limit. Has anyone here won this? How much do colleges value that?

Also do international students receive the regular AP Scholar Awards like AP Scholar with Distinction and others?

It depends on schools. At least they will award you a lot of college credits.

Yes See above link, post #8

The AP International Diploma is not something that you “win”. It is a way to validate the level of education of a student who either studied at a high school outside of the U.S. or who is applying to universities outside of the U.S.

We live overseas and my daughter hopes to obtain the AP International Diploma. In reality though, students from our international school who apply to universities in Europe have provisional acceptances based on AP scores, but have not asked for the official AP International Diploma as far as I know.

Yes, students definitely receive the other AP awards even if they live overseas.
