Questions on petroleum engineering by an international student.

Hi!
Guys have a few questions about PetEng. Can you help me solve them.

I'm foreign expecting to study PetEng at a Canadian uni (UofAlberta). I hope to do the PetEng Co op programme. (This will provide me 18 months of work experience before I graduate) After graduation I want to work in somewhere outside North America, Europe or Oceania. I hope to work offshore in Africa (in somewhere like Nigeria). Do you think I will be able to find such a job as soon as I graduate from, or do I need several years of experience to go work abroad.

Do you think by working in comparatively worst working environment in Africa,I will be paid more compared to my peers in N.America or Europe, due to the greater hardships and risks (for eg if I decide to work in a country with a lot of political instability) that I take? If so ,how much will I get paid compared to my western counterparts?

3.I don't currently hold any western citizenship. I heard that citizens from developed countries get paid more in middle east compared to Asian counterparts. Is this the same for African countries? Will I get paid the same amount as a person from a western country?

Do most salaries when working in Africa, come free of taxes? (once again as a merit for working a comparatively worst working condition)

can someone help me?

Africa? Sounds to me like you wanna die early

I don’t really care about work conditions, Can someone please provide me a good answer to this question.

I have no idea how it works in Canada… but in the US:

1) I have never heard of a new engineer being sent overseas, not once.
2) No clue
3) No clue
4) No clue

Can someone please give me a good answer?
