Questions on research

Hi, during highschool, I was lucky enough to participate in an undergraduate research program, and I was wondering whether I should include this for research experience when applying to grad school. Cuz it is an undergraduate research but I just done it in my highschool year.
I didn't get anything published and did not build up a good relation w/ the PI but I did participated in a poster session.
Similarly, in college, I did research in a lab for 5months but wasnt able to get along w/ the PI and no publications and now working in a different lab.
Do these kinds of research count if I'm not able to receive a recommendation letter from the letter or get anything published?
How should I make these researches look "appealing"?

Thanks!!:)

I would say still include it in your application, as long as you would be able to talk intelligently about it if asked and you learned things from it. It all speaks to your experience doing research, your knowledge of what research is, and your ability to do research in grad school.

My guess is few high schoolers get that kind of opportunity, especially with a poster coming out of it. Couldn’t hurt to mention it.
