Questions on the SAT...

I have a few questions on the SAT. I've never really cared about the SAT because I've felt that it was something I could always tackle later. Now after much procrastination, the time to take the test is approaching and the stupid College Board site seems to answer any of my questions.

So...

1). What is a composite score? Is it a compilation of all the SAT scores you've taken and the best one s in each section? If so, what schools look at a compiled score and what schools don't?

2) Do the SAT II scores you submit have to be from different categories, because I'm planning to take 3 and I am stronger in history than anything else.

Composite score is the sum of the Math, Critical Reading, and Writing Skills scores. Some schools still use composite to mean only the sum of Math and Critical Reading.

Most schools will "superscore" the test and take the best subject area scores from multiple admins. Which ones they are? I am not entirely sure, but I would assume that the vast majority of schools do that.

I dont think the SAT Subject Tests have to be from different categories, but if you are submitting only SAT scores, then one of them should be a Mathematics test. Many schools require that one of the Subject tests be a Math Test, but it doesnt matter if it is level 1 or 2.
