Hello, all
I have some questions about transfer admission and I really hope those of you with experience can provide some suggestions.
I’m a Pennsylvania resident and I’m currently in another four-year institution outside the state. This is the first semester of my second year in college and I currently have 42 credits (by the end of this semester it will be 63)
- I've applied for university park before as a high school senior, and was rejected but accepted by a branch campus. If I plan on applying for it again should I use the same account I created before? If I don't I assume Penn State still has access to the past applicants. Will they consider my status from high school when I apply again?
- I messed up one semester and got a 2.86. I had a 3.36 in another semester. This semester most likely my GPA will be somewhere between 3.7 and 3.8, according to all my midterm scores and my current grade, if I perform the same on the finals as I did on the midterms. So, that would theoretically be 3.30-3.40. I know my GPA isn't very satisfying, but do I still have a decent chance of getting accepted?
- Do they still consider standardized test scores as an admission factor for transfer students? If yes should I retake my SAT? My highest score was 1840.
