Hello everyone, this is my first post on this site as I am seeking answers to figuring out what I need to do. I am currently a CCC student that has pretty much finished the IGETC and placed at the max level for placement tests in math, bio, and chemistry.

I have two questions:

1.) How does taking classes at both De Anza and Foothill work? Will it look bad? I don't recall where, but I heard that if I were to take a series such as Chem 1abc, I would need to complete the series at one school only. Is that true? I would like to flexibility to take 1a at De Anza and 1b at Foothill (hypothetical)

2.) How does the entire TAG timeline work? I tried reading up information on the UCD TAG site but it wasn't really clear to me. I know that registration for TAG is your second year during fall, but say I am a bio major, do I have to complete my prereqs of bio, chem, math before I can even submit the tag? Or do they just have to be finished by the end of the spring quarter?

Thank you so much in advance

edit: De Anza and Foothill are "sister schools" I don't know if that information will help much, but there it is.

1) It is OK, most people I know take classes at both schools. De Anza’s classes fill up really quick, but Foothill offers a lot of online classes for crying out loud. If you want, you can even take classes at DVC, Evergreen, West Valley, Ohlone, etc. doesn’t matter. However, for Gen Chem/ Calc / Phys, you may want to take classes at FHDA only since those 2 are on the quarter system and most, if not all of the rest are on the semester calendar :)

And btw, the above link are for this year TAG, which already passed the deadline. For next year, you may want to go to the same site and look for new information sometimes during the summer, in case they increase TAG GPA and stuff…

I’m still not sure if you answered my question about completing a series at one school versus doing one part of the series at one school and doing other parts at another school (all in FHDA). Like, I know I am restating myself, but it would do so much clarification wise if you could answer this: can I take chem 1a at foothill then take chem 1b at de anza?
