Questions PLEASE

Anyone have a solid list (/link to a solid list) of the literary vocab good to know for AP Lit/Comp? Diction, syntax, etc..

Also, my teacher has never went over what sort of things are on the test (He recommends not taking the test, has issues with AP classes etc even though he teaches one! but whatever). So my question is how many essays it? 2? 3? And do you get a certain amount of time per essay or do you get a big chunk of time that you distribute yourself for all of them?

And just in general, how different is it from the Lang/Comp test other than the fact that you need to write about a work you've read (I got a 5 on it last year...but that was a long time ago)

haha…your teacher sounds like my history teacher…
there are three essays…one on prose/poem/and then one you pick your own novel/play to write about the topic that they ask for…and you pick your own speed…

It’s 3 essays in 2 hours, and although they don’t force you to stop and move to the next essay, the suggested time for each is 40 minutes (1/3 of your time, of course). The 3 essays are the prose analysis, poetry analysis and the one where you write about a work you’ve read.
