Questions, queries and worries

<p>I am an international student and will be joining Furman this Fall.. I have alot of questions to begin with but first: Can anyone please tell me about Furman's dual-degree program? Is it really tough and do students drop out of this program just coz of it's difficulty level?</p>

<p>if you are going to Furman you can do what they ask you for a dual degree. Of course, if the dual degree is chemistry and pre-law, you probably will drop out.</p>

<p>what dual degree are u looking for. many many people at FU have a major and minor. such as poly sci and spanish, or poly sci and history, that sort of thing</p>

<p>I am thinking of doing engineering dual degree… The 3/2 plan… Do you know something about which which may be helpful…I really appreciate your input…</p>

<p>Hi,
Here is the link with information on the dual degree program in engineering/physics. There are at least four partner institutions-my own biased recommendation would be to finish engineering program at Georgia Tech ( DH is alum with Mech. Engineering degree). Looks like the person to talk with is Dr. Susan D’Amato who is a professor of physics and is the chair of the dual degree program in physics and engineering. Here is the link with her fax, phone and email plus course requirements and info. on the Alden scholarship:
[Department</a> of Physics - Furman University](<a href=“http://physics.furman.edu/academics/engineering.htm]Department”>http://physics.furman.edu/academics/engineering.htm). Hope this helps.</p>
