Questions regarding amherst esssay!

Heyy guys,
I know its kinda late but I just wanted to take your opinion on the word limit of the supplement essay…I know its 300, but all the samples I’ve come across on this forum and other websites go up to as much as 500 words!

Do you think 435 would be pushing it too far? :P

Also I chose the J F Kennedy prompt about public interest…I kinda wrote an essay on a person who influenced my perspective on leadersip and making a difference by inspiring others…do you think that’s totally irrelevant? Or is it fine if your essay is loosely based on the chosen theme?

Wasnt the limit 300 words? I sent mine in, it was just about 300. Thats not an issue
Sorry for the late reply and hope that helps!
All the best :)

Mine was a 103 words, so chill :D

LOL- you don’t have to be sorry IRB Cobalt!

And LOL, I think I’m reassured about that now=D

You have made me remember my essay now. Damn, it was so so straightforward. It’s gonna kill me. 103 words. What was I thinking? Shhhiiitttt

I was actually thinking of scrapping everything I’ve written and writing something straightforward in about a 100 words myself XD

So relax, I bet what you wrote must’ve been pretty solid =D

Mine was kinda 400 words… If Amherst values supplement essay more… I am doomed coz my essay wasn’t coherent enough when I read it yesterday…
