Okay..
I'm writing some applications, and I wasn't sure if it was a good idea for a person like me to include a resume.
My resume just has 10 clubs, couple awards (nothing spectacular), some community services and 1 work experience.
I can fit most of my "important clubs", 1/2 of my awards, all of my community services, and all my work experience.
I'm not sure if I should include my resume just for the awards..
Since they are not spectacular, I shouldn't. Right?
Also, some applications ask me if I ever visited or met their representative.
Does meeting a rep. or visiting the college significantly increase the chance of acceptance?
I'm on their mailing list, but i never visted them or met w/ rep.

Is it better to send everything, that is my part including essay, secondary school report, teachers' recommendations, and thecheck, all together in 1 envelope?
Does this help the admission office at all?

I'm taking October SAT, and sending my scores to 4 schools.
Scores come out on October 24th for me, but when do the schools receive my score?

If you're sending things through the mail, I think I would go ahead and make an activity list so you can fit in all your awards and highlight your activities - maybe writing a sentence about your involvement in each.

Visiting - its importance depends on the school. Places like HYPS really don't care. Small liberal arts schools and out of the way universities like WUSTL often do take applicants interest in their school into account because they want to accept people who want to go there - not just those for whom they are second or third choice.

I don't think you need to send your stuff when your high school does. Just do it the way your school handles it. Just be sure to check with them in a couple of weeks to make sure they have everything.

Schools will receive your score in time for admissions if you take it in October - probably a couple of weeks after you receive it. Be sure to check to make sure they have received them, either online or by calling the admissions office. Good luck!

thx..
but my awards aren't anything impressive..
and is it better to write all the clubs that i participated in eventhough the club met once a month for a half hour?
i don't want to include things that won't affect my chances and things that won't prove anything about me...
should i still include a resume/activity list??

It's really hard to give advice when I really don't know what kinds of activities you have. Generally, you want to show where your interests lie- so you'd include those where you've put in some time. I wouldn't put something down you only went to for 1/2 hour a month.
Try to look at your activities and ask which things tell the most about me. You want admissions to know your interestst and how you spent your non-academic time. Take it from there.
