AIME is an invitation only math contest; you qualify based on your
score on the AMC12. If your school does not provide the AMC12
(usually given twice in the month of February) there will be schools
in your state where you can register with the coordinator to take it.</p>

<p>Also the NFAA has a Category where you can submit writing for its annual ARTS awards which could lead to
Presidential Scholar (of the Arts).</p>
