Questions regarding Financial aid

Hello, beautiful people!

I am Cornell class of 2017 and have a question about its financial aid...

I don't have to pay anything but family contribution of $7700 (my contribution + parents contribution).

My parents and I can pay it really in tight plan

so I want to get a loan to have little bit of extra money that I can spend.

So,
I am planning to get a loan, but the school did not put loan in my financial aid award, so does that mean that I can't get a need-based loan aka direct subsidized loan and federal perkins loan?

Also, do you have any suggestion for other loan option?

Plz plz plz answer me!!

Thank you!

Yup. You can’t get federal loans. What you would have gotten in federal loans, Cornell is covering for you in grants.

there are private student loans (unsubsidized) available that your family may be eligible for. Most banks/credit unions offer them, and typically require a parent to co-sign.
