I’m 99% sure I’m going to CP Pomona in the fall for Mechanical engineering and had some questions. I really like aerospace topics and hope to work in this industry but I chose mechanical engineering for more options in case that doesn’t work out. I know some schools offer aerospace concentrations but Pomona doesn’t so my question in regards to this is what would be the best option for me to get some background in aerospace? Should I just pick certain classes from the aerospace department? Should I just get involved in aerospace clubs? Both? Any input would be appreciated. I’m trying to plan ahead and I’m setting my goals early so I can do my best in college.

Does anyone have any input?

Good for you!

You can call or visit your department for specific guidance. Most schools have will help you pick/register for your classes at orientation. You’ll need a mix of major and GE courses. Your first couple of years will be more general - becoming much more focused as a Sr.
Good luck.

You would benefit greatly by calling a counselor or asking questions at your orientation.
