Questions regarding undergraduate Communications program?

<p>Hello all,
I have been looking into FSU's undergraduate communication program, and it seems like the program has a very good reputation. I was wondering if anyone is participating in the program, and how they feel about it. Also, it says on FSU's website that the program is limited access. As a CC transfer, what GPA should I have to stand a competitive chance? I have tried looking online, but no where has this kind of information!
Thanks again!</p>

<p>As a transfer student into a [limited</a> access program](<a href=“http://www.communitycollege.fsu.edu/lap.html][I]limited”>http://www.communitycollege.fsu.edu/lap.html) I recommend you contact the department directly.</p>

<p>Good luck!</p>

<p>my ex-roommate was a communications major and was a transfer. I never saw her study or do any work. All she did was watch tv on her laptop. I asked if she has any work for her classes and she said it was easy stuff you can do the night before and she never seemed phased or worried and it wasn’t just her it was also her friend in the same major and he never did anything either. In fact all he did was cheat and was doing just fine. All they did was go out, shop, watch tv, and if they felt like it they did work. It’s just what I observed and tried to see how she was doing in her comm. classes, but she seemed to be doing fine with barely putting any effort, but maybe she’s one of those really smart kids that everything comes easy to them, and would probably be fine in Org. Chemistry as well, haha.
The minimum GPA to pass at FSU and graduate as a comm. major is below a 3.0, where most majors have a minimum of 3.0 to pass. Which is kind of interesting b/c it’s Limited Access, and you have to ENTER w/ an awesome GPA if you want to get into the program.
You need to meet all the requirements and have a great GPA as it’s competitive. You should always aim for a 3.8 or higher if it’s a limited access major because well…it’s limited access and it is competitive. So you HAVE TO meet every requirement and have a stellar GPA. Otherwise they won’t even bother with you and you’ll get notified fast that you are rejected.</p>
