Questions related to my Undergraduate.

Somewhere with a 7%<x<20% admission rate.

and why dont you tell me about the colleges i should apply to? you are being selfish bro. as raj koothrapali said, " please help a poor indian like me". plz plz do tell me.

Bah, of all the people on TBBT you quote Raj? ( I hate the way Indians are stereotyped on American tv)
And Tizil is right, you need to make your own list. But as a general suggestion for a person of your stats and requiring aid-Try the Ivy League, MIT, Stanford and top LACs. There are other colleges that give FA but may not meet full need. Like UChicago, JHU. But applying for FA decreases your chances. Just stay away from public schools as they won’t offer need based aid. Although some of them may give merit aid, you need to find them out. Hope this helps.

hey im not saying i like raj the best. he isnt poor anyway. he’s dad a gynecologist and owns a bentley. i just wanted to make my point.

and how much scholarship does Uchicago offer? do i have to pay more than $2000 per year? name some top LACs offering aids plz.

@tizil - what do you mean by “No” when he asks do they ask class 11 grades? :open_mouth:
Don’t we need to send in the class 11 results too??

@akashdip - Sorry I might be straightforward, to an extent of being brusque, but I think you can’t get a 2300 or a score near 2400. Euphemistically, no chance at all. If you like the way you’ve posted up there.

@iamthebist

if you are serious: tell me why cant i score above 2300 plz.

if you are not: go mind your own job. i dont want such stupid suggestions.

I said I concluded that assuming you usually write the way you wrote above.
Well, yeah. You shouldn’t heed to most suggestions on CC.

well no. im not a wimpy kid or a bragging idiot in case you are getting ideas. i write fine. or my teachers say so anyway. here in cc im a bit desperate considering that i chat with people who have got accepted into ivies and other acclaimed ones. makes me feel low. and i really do wanna make it to one of the best places out there. some people here are really nice though like @mom2collegekids.

btw which part of my writings do you find bad?

@Akashdip: He was talking about your grammar, I think. You need to improve it if you want a good score on the SAT.

my grammar is wrong? really? where?

Ah guys. I would not judge Akashdip.

My dad still writes like, “Y r u not replying?”

But that is a very poor indicator of his grammatical prowess. It’s just that some people find it an inconvenience to type full sentences on a communication system as ephemeral and insignificant as the internet.

I try to consciously use the best possible grammar while writing on the Internet but that’s only because it acts as a good practice when the need arises. Plus, it makes you sound authoritative ;)

Edit: Insignificant in the first paragraph refers to the lack of a deep personal relationship - for a the lack of a better word, fake.

if you guys are judging me on the basis of whether i write properly on the net forums then, im sorry to inform, im the worst student ever in my year:D
does it even make sense?
and i thought it was something serious like sentence construction and stuff. and as a matter of fact while in chatrooms and forums i try to be as colloquial as possible. so as tizil rightly supported me, dont judge my grammatical prowess based on that.
thank you all.

Bah, I was just pulling your leg. Its so hard to convey sarcasm on the internets. :D

you should practise rolling eyes like this.

that’s too obvious btw you suck, you can’t even go to community college, you should sit home and cry.

nice try. :D
