Questions to ask your interviewer?

With my interview scheduled for tomorrow, what are some good questions to ask my interviewer about their experiences at Stanford? Some that I’ve thought of are:

[ul]
[li]How would you characterize the social scene at Stanford? The work/play balance?[/li]
[li]How did the quarter system affect your learning experience? How’d the workload and course syllabi compare between Stanford and other unis your friends attended?[/li]
[li]What was your favorite class and why? What was your favorite student organization and why?[/li]
[li]How would you describe the students around you? Have you stayed in touch with them?[/li]
[li]Did you like the freshman dorm experience?[/li]
[li]What’s something really underrated about Stanford that’s great but nobody talks about?[/li][/ul]
So yeah, can you guys think of any more questions? If possible, it’d be great to pool together all the great questions you guys have in your heads, and maybe borrow from mine.

What was something you DIDN’T like about Stanford? What would you say are its weaknesses?

These are all good questions—there probably won’t be time to ask more than what you have here! Good luck with your interview!

Since most interviewers are alums, and some graduates many years earlier, ask them how attending Stanford has impacted their lives. Ask them what their most important experiences as a student there were. Ask how the campus has changed since they were students. Ask what advice they would give to an incoming freshman at Stanford.
