Questions!

If I have around a 2010- 2100 sat score, 3.96 weighted gpa and a 3.75 unweighted gpa what are my chances of getting into BC for chemistry?? i know that chemistry is very competitve at BC so I’m a bit worried. Also, would I have a better chance applying early action or regular?

I don’t believe that major much matters once you are applying to Arts & Sciences. (Adcoms know that many students change their major 2-3 times, once they start college).

Bluebayou is right. Your application will be judged for admission to A&S, and not the chemistry department specifically.

At BC, the EA round is more selective than RD. If you think your fall semester will strengthen your application (for example, if you expect to raise your GPA or win some awards or be elected to new leadership positions), then you should probably wait and apply RD.

do i have a chance at all at BC? with my sats and gpa.?

I remember visiting Boston College before I got accepted and they clearly told everyone that what you will major in, the department you will go to is looked at only after you are accepted to you have an equal chance of getting in no matter what you are majoring in

This year appeared, like at most schools, appeared to be a tough year. This website, [College Search - College Admissions](http://www.■■■■■■■■■■) is great to use for GPA & SAT score comparison and has this years results. Obviously, there is a lot more to it than just the SAT and GPA, but based on those you’d be kind of on the fence. Depending on how the rest of the application looks it appears it could go either way… but that is better than the 28% acceptance rate BC had this year!
