Questions

I have a few questions about the ACT.

I'm a sophomore right now.

1) How do I register?
My school gives the ACT to everyone junior year, but I want to take it early. How do I register, and would I still have time to register for the October date?

2) Should I take it?
I studied with a Princeton Review book and I just bought a Barron's book for it that should be here in a few days. I scored very well on the practice tests (not sure about the percentage or what score that would be, I didn't check) in PR, and I would like to do a real one just for practice. Are there any negatives to taking it as a sophomore?

I will probably have another question soon and edit this.

Register an account on the ACT test website. Instructions will be given on selecting a date and test center for the. Do it soon though, the october deadline must be very close.

If you feel like you will do very well then by all means take it. Not only will it help you get a good reading on the test if you need to take it again, but if you score high then you don’t have to take it again, making junior year a bit easier.

The only negative i see is that, for me at least, the mind is more developed in keen as you grow older. While it is 100% possible to score very high as a sophomore, you may do better as a junior. But that “negative” shouldn’t stop you from taking it.
