Which is easier to get into OOS: EECS or Eng Undeclared?

What are avg SAT scores for OOS at EECS or Eng Undeclared (or even the Engineering college)? Just a general idea is good enough for me.

Do I have a shot OOS - no financial aid needed? 73Om (should go up in dec to 760-800), 61Ov (should go up in dec to 650-720), 76O chem, expecting >76O iic assuming i have great recs, great essays & my EC’s and curriculum (i go to a tech hs…like a magnet) reflect my passion for eecs/engineering.

Thank you all ucb geniuses for answering my ? in advance.

I'm guessing Engineering Undeclared is easier to get into than EECS.

1400+

Not a good chance:
-Your SAT I is average for in-state non-engineering applicants, but since you're the exact opposite, you're far below average for OOS engineering applicants.
-UC's don't take letters of recommendations.
-What's your UC GPA?

The people I know in the School of Engineering had SAT's in the 2100-2200+ range, in state. I think realistically for OOS you need to be in the exceed 2200 to be considered and also have a competitive GPA, OOS in the 4.3++ range. Hope your new test scores come in high for you and Good Luck on admissions!

Also, I see on the application that UCB does not allow OOS students to label their classes in 9th grade as honors (even if they're are). What's the reasoning behind this?

the UC app doesn't count freshman grades at all, they don't factor it into your GPA.
also, for california high schools they have all their classes and approve classes as honors/non honors, even if they're labelled honors.
don't know the reasoning....just is

Anyone have an idea of my chances? Assuming my SATs stay the same...is UCB a low reach, reach, or high reach for me? What if I pull the SATs to a 2100? A 2200?

UCB Engineering definitely seems to be a reach for you. If you can pull the SATs up to 2100-2200...maybe. But OOS Engineering is really tough. Good luck.
