Questions!

I wanted to know what is the minimum score you need for the SAT fall 08' freshman admission? How about GPA? I'm going to be a senior this year and I'm not sure what Stony Brook's requirements are. I took the SAT already in June and I plan to retake it again in October. And...I'm so nervous...

In addition, my friend told me that the mean score for the SAT requirements varies every year. Is that true? Do I need to write an admission essay? And how many recommendations do you need?

...I really want to go to SB!

ANYONE? At least give me one answer to those questions!

Mimi- Sorry I missed you.

There's no strict minimum SAT; the average this fall is about a 1240 reading and math combined. The average GPA is a 92. (Or a 3.7 on a 4-point scale.)

The SAT requirement doesn't change much, but it has gone up quite a bit in the last few years.

The essay and one recommendation are part of the supplemental application.
