Questions

Couple of questions that are important (at least to me).
Note. I was rejected the first time applying to GW. I applied straight from HS.
Question
Ss it easier to transfer in to GW rather then getting in straight from High School, even though im transferring after one semester at UMBC? I'm trying to get in spring 2009. Please guys dont post, yea just transfer after two years, after some more time. I know its easier to transfer in two years, but thats not my question.

another.
does being asian and not receiving financial aid help my chances?
does declaring a major that is unpopular (philosophy) also help my chances of getting in?
my stats arent amazing. 3.2 HS GPA. 1740 on SATS. But my EC's arent bad.

I know my chances are slim. but if i write an amazing essay and get a great rec. what do you guys think? Dont be TO harsh lol.

Why do you say your chances are slim? You are showing a true interest in GW and that is certainly accaunted for!
Visit again, have an interview with them, grades are not all GW is looking for
good luck

If you have more than 30 credits....you don't even have to send your HS transcript or your SAT scored. D was accepted as a junior with 3.5 college cumulative average (44 credits) Like a 3.2-3.3 after 1st year.. (She never would have been accepted as Freshman with SATs lower than yours) Reapplying might demonstrate real interest, especially if you can manage good grades in a couple hard courses.

well this is my second time applying.
first time was straight from HS.
So i have little zero chance of getting in even if i wrote and received an amazing essay and rec?

i'm not sure if you're allowed to reapply right away if you got rejected right after high school. some schools make do a year or two of college before you can reapply. they didn't like your original application for some reason, so unless you've changed something drastic they probably wouldn't look at it any differently.
