<p>Hey everyone,
i'm new to this site, and I had a few questions about the college process. I'll be a senior this fall.</p>

<p>The main question I wanted to ask is, if I don't want to attend college until the spring after I graduate, when should I:</p>

<p>apply to schools
collect scholarships
collect grants...etc.</p>

<p>will it make it more difficult to get into college this way, or is it possible to get accepted into a college with them understanding that you won't be attending until spring of 2007 even though I graduated spring of 06?</p>

<p>do they look at you differently?</p>

<p>As far as I know, you apply just like everyone else. Then, after you get your acceptances and decide where you want to attend, you let the college know that you'd like to defer for a semester, although they may ask you to enter the following fall instead.</p>
