Questions

1)Does UCSD only take people from California? Could someone give me some info about their program like how long it is, etc.

Also is California really like what they show on like MTV like it's preppy and such because I'm a quiet person and I probably wouldn't enjoy the atmosphere.

2) I researched on collegeboard.com and saw the prices of some colleges like Drexel and stuff. It said that it was around 30,000 a year. Is that like the real price? I know scholarships and aid will bring it down, but is that the price though?

3) Can someone tell me all the 6 year programs because I would like to get into those.

Also should a person go into a 6 year or a 7 year program? I kind of don't want to spend like an extra year, but should they?

Thanks

1) Yes, but I don't know more about it other than it's VERY VERY competitive.

2) Think so.

3) UMKC, Penn State, Miami, Univ. of Akron off the top of my head

6 or 7 years--up to you.

I don't know about Drexel specifically, but yes, many universities will cost between $30 000 and $45 000 per year (including room and board and other fees).

With the 6 or 7 year program, as RamJag has said, it's up to you. In a 6 or 7 year program, you will spend less time doing your undergrad and mostly likely will have to spend at least one summer taking classes. Some people feel that they will "miss out" on the whole college experience by cutting out the last year or two.

being from california, i can tell you that the MTV representation of here is blown way out of proportion, its not all like that. UCSD doesnt restrict admission only to california, but theres obviously some preference. I dont know much about Drexel since its on the other coast, but im in your position, and i think whatever you tihink is best btw 6 and 7 years you should go with
