questions [:

Hello! 8D I'm a junior in highschool. I'm interested in applying to SMU next fall, however, it's the farthest college I am considering (I'm from new jersey) and I'm not sure if I'm a high-enough calibur applicant to warrant a large scholarship sum....my GPA is overall a low A, unweighted, my SAT score is a 2070 at highest (740 reading 720 writing 610 math) I'm involved with volunteer work and a few select clubs....any ideas on whether I would get in?

Also, Does anyone know anything about their english program, or more specifically, the degrees "English with a creative writing concentration" or "Advertising"?

on the less academically oriented side...

How's life on campus...and the city, is that a place where students frequently visit? (I love cities, and one of the selling points is it's proximity to a city, especially one I've never explored. I've mostly been through DC, NYC, and Philly, is it comparable?)

thank you for your time and congrats to all planning on attending, from pictures I've seen and descriptions I've read, it sounds lovely :3 ~

You will definitely get it in.

:] really? awesome…! thanks.

You’ll will definitely get into SMU. If you can get your math grade up higher you can also get a pretty good scholarship. I suggest taking the ACT because it seems easier on the math section and you don’t have to worry about deductions for wrong answers.

alright, awesome! I’ve actually been considering the act, now I have more reasons to
ty, ‘hey’ xD
