how hard is macro-economics? i have to take a course on this. i've heard some rumors that its sooooooo hard, and others say its easy.

does macro-economics require all of your time to pass the class with a B or better like a general biology class would?

is there a lot of math involved? feedback appreciated.

If it's intro (which I'm assuming it is), there is some math involved; however, it is simple math: making graphs, analyzing data, using formulas, etc. Most intermediate macro courses integrate Calculus.
Like any course, the difficulty will depend on your institution and instructor. But generally speaking, it is easy. As long as you keep up with the work, the material is fairly simple to grasp. But don't take my word for it: I just took it as an AP course.

it is introductory level macroeconomics, econ 101.

it isn't like biology is it? where you have to spend a lot of time?

Probably not as much as with Biology. Go for it. I have a bias, though: I love Econ; it is one of my minors.

thanks.

usually are the tests essay or multiple choice? and is political science/history a good background for taking macroecon?

The latter two help a little when it comes to understanding things like policy levers, the political affiliations of economic theories (neo-liberalism and Reagan, inflation and Carter, Keynsianism and FDR blah blah), what why it was that certain approaches were adapted over the years (business cycles, socialism). However, it is not necessary as whatever pertinent political or historical information is usually mentioned, and the majority of what you will be doing is analysis and memorization.
