Yeah, many colleges don't let you use calculators in their math classes. That is, no calculators at all, graphing (83/84 or 89), scientific, or 4-function. The 89 is mainly useful for checking answers, especially on homework and tests, if your teacher allows it. Getting dependent on it is definitely a very bad idea.</p>

i agree that i don't want to pay the price for two calculators, but then again i don't want to become too dependent on the ti-89, let alone be restricted from using it.</p>
