First semester frreshman year my GPA was 3.7. Second semester I had mono and the GPA dropped to 3.35. So, hypothetically speaking, would it be better work my overalll GPA back up to 3.6 and apply to schools as a junior applicant, or would going one semester and applying with my overall GPA of 3.35 but showing a midterm GPA of 3.8 be sufficient? Is there a marked advantage in the first scenario?
