My teacher said that we could be off by one sigfig for the free response section. Can someone confirm this? Cuz on the released FRQ, a couple of parts said the sigfigs could be off by one, some others said the correct amount was required, and I don't think there's any mention of sigfigs anywhere else (in the other years, too).

My teacher says this: “The figure can be ignored if it is less than 1 decimal away from the actual number”

but he doesn’t understand whether it’s
- sig figs does not matter for one figure - i.e. 1.984 = 1.98
OR - 1 digit away does not matter - i.e. 1.984 =1.985

Personally, i’m hoping for the first one >.<

It’s the first one. 1.9843 and 1.98 would work if the answer was 1.984

So in other words, your answer has to be ±1 sigfig from the right answer.
