<p>well, the unrestricted sub warfare first got the public all razzled up for war. the yellow press also hyped up all the events that happened to add to the hysteria, espicially after the sinking of the Luistania and Arabic. but then it was the Zimmerman telegram that actually put wilson over the edge, so that in a month (i think), war was declared</p>
