Hi, can somebody help me with one question please? thanks in advance! :)

What is the minimum distance from the origin to the curve y=(x^3-3x^2-4x+12)/6?

I’m not going to do the whole problem for you, but I’ll tell you how to do it.

Distance = sqrt(x^2 + y^2)
They give you y, so square it and plug in.
Find the derivative of this equation.
Set the derivative = 0 and solve for x.
Plug back in for x in the original distance equation.

hmm…for some reason my calculator is taking a realllllyyyyyyy long time to solve for 0, so I feel like i am doing the problem incorrectly…
