I'm applying to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, Cal Poly SLO, USC, CSU san marcos, sdsu, and CSU Long Beach.

Chance me for each please?

I’ll rank back!

In at SDSU, CSU Long Beach. San Marcos, UCSD, and UCLA are probably match schools, maybe UCLA on the tougher end of it. I’d consider trying to push up your SAT 1s a touch if you could. They’re strong, but something up just a little bit more will definitely help your chances. And remember, California schools get such a huge volume of applications, that scores that are high and stand out definitely help in distinguishing you from other applicants. I would say that UCB, Cal Poly SLO, and USC are really the reaches here, while not impossible at all. I’d say you definitely have a shot at these schools, especially with a strong class ranking, gpa, and good scores. Your ECs seem a bit sparing, are you simply restricting your activities for the sake of conciseness, or is that really all you do? Don’t take anything I say to heart, it’s just my opinion. What do I know, really.

Well, the UC and CSU apps do limit how many EC activities I can put down, so I did what I put down on those applications.

Also, what’s your opinion on my chances of UCSB if you’re willing? Thanks for the other chances though.

bump? still waiting.

I dont know a lot of those schools but UCB, UCLA, and UCSD will be reaches for you. Your SAT scores and GPA are alright but your leadership, extra curricular activities, and community service activities are seriously lacking (especially leadership). Colleges dont want to see that you were simply present at the club meetings but that you were an important leader in each of them. Best of luck!

UCB, USC and UCLA seem like reaches in my opinion but UCLA and USC you probably have a better shot at. UCSB and UCSD looks like reach/targets and SLO is a target. CSUs are all safeties as they are for most.

This is just based off of GPAs that I’ve seen get accepted. Good luck!

Nice rank, decent SAT and GPA. First 3 on the list are 30-40%, the rest are 75%+
Good luck.

The CSU’s are definitely matches, easy. But UC’s are reaches and CSU may be a reach too. Your GPA is good, but SAT’s are nothing special for those higher UC’s. Have you thought about Davis? You’d definitely get in there. I see no focus in your EC’s, but that can’t be helped at this point. It’s the same with me. Darn.
You should retake SAT I and really work on your essays. Still, if you improve your SAT’s, I think you have a great chance at all those schools.

bump, still chancing back.

still bumping and chancing.

Chance me while I evaluate your long list of schools

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1245813-chances-me-carnegie-mellon-cornell-johns-hopkins.html

I’m thinking UCLA and UCB are definitely reaches for you. The rest, well, I don’t even know what those acronyms stand for. I’m guessing you have a decent shot at all of them given your nice class rank and ECs. If you had more leadership in ECs and +50 on CR and M SAT then you would have had a shot at UCLA and UCB.

Good Luck!

Thank you for the chances.
