On the common applications there is a part where it tells you to elaborate on one of the activies you've listed. But if I have room, can I elaborate on two other activities?

If your activities are not in any way related, you should stick to one activity. Remember, this is an essay, too, so good grammar and style are important. Do not simply write about what you did ("I ran 5 miles every morning and then made varsity cross country team"), but try to explain what you gained by doing that activity and what it means to you. Good luck!

Werd.^

I still hate word/character/line limits though.

I also have a question about that short answer prompt.

the direction says to elaborate on an activity...(150 words for fewer)
but at the bottom it has a limit of 3500 characters.

150 words have like less than 1000 characters, so I wonder what's up with the discrepancy on the limit.

Yeah^

"Question
What is the word limit for the short answer essay and how do I figure in the character count?
Answer
Please only be concerned with the word limit of the essay. The character response is there as a guide but the requirement for the essay is 150 words or fewer."

There's more stuff, but i only cp'd the relevant text.

The character limit is a technical one, created by the programming language that the form is written in. It's not always possible to limit the size of a note box precisely.

It is the word limit that counts.
