Quick Common App Topic Question, Please Help

<p>So the topic is : "Describe a character in fiction, a historical figure, or a creative work (as in art, music, science, etc.) that has had an influence on you, and explain that influence."</p>

<p>I would be able to write about a fiction book that influenced me, right? It says a character in fiction, and it says a creative work, but for examples of a creative work it doesn't specifically mention a book.</p>

<p>Bump. Please, it seems like a simple question. It's probably obvious, but I just want to be absolutely certain before I send in my essay about a specific fiction book.</p>

<p>Well, a book would be considered a creative work so you'll be able to write about a fiction book. People have probably written about books using that topic before.</p>
