These supplemental questions show up for CMU at the end of the CSS Profile form and I can’t decide whether to answer Yes or No. Hubby is concerned about privacy if we answer Yes. On the other hand, are we shooting kid’s aid chances in the foot if we say No?
If you are low income (needy) then I might say yes based on the possibility some scholarships need to verify income levels for needy students. I don’t think scholarships would verify anything if they were purely merit.
We’re middle income and CMU doesn’t guarantee to meet need - I think they basically offer aid based on how much they want the student.
If it were me, I’d go ahead and do it.
Thanks suzy. After much handwringing we decided to put yes to both. If she does get accepted there we need all the help paying we can get.
