Hello guys! This will only take a minute or so to read and reply. But your feedback will mean a lot to me.

So I really want to get into Johns Hopkins or an Ivy everything in my application is good so far, but my leadership skills are lacking. I have a deep interest in science: physics, chem, and bio. I am currently tripling up on it junior year.

Our school allows us to create clubs/organizations this month. So I have two options:

Should I create a Science Club or Science National Honor Soceity to be president of??
Which will help me look better on college apps?

They’re both pretty great leadership opportunities, but I think an Honor Society would look a lot nicer, and be more rigorous to create compared to a general science club.

If you can swing an Honor Society, then go for it, but also if you think you’ll have significantly better turnout with a regular Science Club then that’d probably be the better choice. There’s not really a prestige difference there in the club name; it’s better to accomplish something in the club itself (ex: leadership experiences, cooperation with science officials, planning activities of note, etc)
