Quick general question about applying as a junior

I’ll be applying for transfer my sophomore year (currently a freshman) and while some college websites explicitly express what classes incoming junior transfers want to take for a particular major, others don’t.

how would i go about finding what classes each applying major needs/prefers for junior year? would I email someone from admissions? if so, who? I want to make sure I can keep the credits I need related to my major, as it seems much more important for junior transfer than sophomore transfers.

for reference, i’ll be applying to vanderbilt, UVA, cornell (thankfully very clear about what’s required), colby and georgetown

thank you!!!

bump, anyone have an idea?

all i need to know is who to email to find out what classes i should be taking soph year

Each department should have a list of all of the classes that are required for the majors offered by that department right on the website. Read through those lists. Then look at the course descriptions in the course catalogue on the university website. Compare those with the descriptions of the courses that are available at your current university. That will give you some idea of whether or not your courses will fulfill requirements.

Private school admissions do not usually post what the major requirements are (in fact many of them do not have strict requirements). If there are requirements, they are dictated by the school/department to which you wish to be admitted.
