<p>You do not get to pick roommates freshman year. Instead you fill out a long form that asks things like: what time you go to sleep, favorite music, extracurricular interests, etc. They do a really good job matching you up; many people choose to room together again the next year.</p>
<p>Depending on which college there may be more or less singles. Wilson, Whitman, and Butler have more singles overall, but they just changed the roomdraw system this year to insure that freshmen will be concentrated together a little better so numbers may have changed from past years.</p>
<p>Can’t you also request a single or how many roommates?</p>
