<p>a cube 4 inches on an edge is painted red on all faces and then cut into 64 one inch cubes. How many of the one inch cubes do not have red paint on any face?</p>

either count how many have paint on them which I think would be easier to visualize?
or count which don't have paint on them
the eight cubes in the center won't have any paint</p>
<p>I just attempted to solve it and got 80 as the answer.</p>
