quick med school question

Is it possible to take an English class that counts toward med school (some generic med school that requires a year of English, and I've already done two quarters) at a CC and have it count towards the 1 year English requirement even if it doesn't count toward my UCLA units because of the 105 unit limit? Kind of a confusing question.

You take the course, and you get credit for the course. However, you can only apply 105 units to UCLA.

For instance, suppose I’m already at the 105 quarter unit limit. I take
1.
-UCLA won’t give me units toward my degree, but they’ll let me take
