Quick PLME questions

I’m a rising junior and am heavily involved in a good handful of EC’s, but one of them is not HOSA, despite it being offered at my school. I didn’t ever join because my school’s chapter never seemed to do much. I know it’s important that one’s clinical interest is expressed when applying for such a program, so would it hurt me if I wasn’t in this club? Also, what exactly does a PLME application look like as far as any extra EC space, etc.?

HOSA clubs at the high school level seem pretty pointless to me. I’d never heard of them until now. It’s not going to hurt you that you didn’t participate in one single club.

The PLME application is the same as the Brown application, with two additional essays. You can find them here:

It won’t hurt you. You can express your clinical interests in other fields such as volunteering or shadowing. I doubt that colleges will be sent a list of clubs offered at your HS anyway.
