Quick Pre-med question

I posted this in the UC transfer sections and they recommended that I also post it here.

I will be attending UCLA as a junior transfer this upcoming quarter(Fall 2012). I've already finished 1 year of both general biology and general chemistry. My question is: Can I jump right into 14C, or do I have to take the 30 sequence?

There's no real reason for me to take the 30 sequence, but it feels weird that I'll only have to take three courses(14C/14CL, 14D) to fulfillment med school requirements(which ask for one year of organic chemistry with lab).

Thanks

14c/d/cl does satisfy one year of ochem with lab. it’s weird because 14c and d are pure content while cl is only lab, but it’s what every life science major does.

I am 99% sure that you have to take the 30 series.

I think this is because after 14A/20A, the chem series start going in different directions and there are no real course equivalencies after that. But double check at orientation.
