on part 18a. of the online app...it says "Include specific events and/or major accomplishments such as positions held in student government, varsity letters eratned, etc"...is there some hidden space or something where u would include these specific events cuz all that's there is the scroll down thing?

I see boxes under there - two sets, one for Activities and one for Athletics. Then 18b is a section where you can elaborate on the most important ones. Do you see that?

yea, just wonderin if there's a way to specify what like 3 of my "Others" are?

I think you should just put your most important activities on the application and then be sure to include a resume with everything you want them to see on there. Be sure to make your resume interesting - not just a long list of things. Try to put on there WHAT you actually did - make it stand out (but still be brief). We actually heard them say that at the Northeastern info session.

I just wanted to comment how important it is to be sure that your application drives home two points: 1) That this is a school that you really want to attend, not just a fill-in safety school. NU has been very open about seeking more impressive student profile and admittance stats. They are successfully doing this by actively seeking out prospective students who express an intention to attend NU if accepted. 2) Because of their unique co-op program, they are more inclined than other typical universities to seek out students who exhibit a strong drive to get involved in their community, and who show a real "hands on" approach to learning. For example, my D is a business mgmt. major interested in becoming an attorney. She wrote about how, as a high school junior, she successfully applied to a law firm for a position that had previously been held by older, more experienced persons. She wrote with some humor about spending her summer in business suits (which she initially felt so awkward in) when all her friends were running around in ponytails and sandals with beach towels rolled under their arms. She concluded with a serious tone about how she had truly grown up that summer and the benefits of her experience.
